- સામાન્ય જાગૃતતા (General Awareness): આમાં ભારત અને ગુજરાતનો ઇતિહાસ, ભૂગોળ, બંધારણ, અને સાંસ્કૃતિક વારસાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. ગ્રેજ્યુએટ સ્તરે, તમારે કોઈપણ ઐતિહાસિક ઘટના કે ભૌગોલિક ફેરફારના મૂળ કારણો અને તેની વર્તમાન સામાજિક-આર્થિક અસરોનું વિશ્લેષણ કરવું પડે છે.
- વર્તમાન પ્રવાહો (Current Affairs): સ્થાનિક, રાષ્ટ્રીય અને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મહત્વની ઘટનાઓ. અહીં માત્ર ઘટનાની તારીખ યાદ રાખવી પૂરતી નથી, પરંતુ તે ઘટનાની વૈશ્વિક રાજનીતિ કે અર્થતંત્ર પર શું અસર પડશે (દા.ત. નવી સરકારી યોજનાઓનો અમલ કેવી રીતે થશે અને તેનાથી કયા વર્ગને કેમ ફાયદો થશે) તે સમજવું જરૂરી છે.
